New Project: Knitted Baby Blanket

Heirloom Blanket

Yup, a baby blanket. Not for me though! A friend is having a little girl in May and I wanted to make her something cute (cause homemade baby things are the cutest!). And I've been wanting to make a blanket. We (mom and I) found this pattern in a book called "Vintage Knits for Modern Babies". So many cute patterns! So far this one has been pretty easy, once you get the pattern down. I'm using this yarn called "Snuggly Wuggly Mini Dots"! :) It's white with bright pink and lavender dots. When I'm finished, I'll put up a picture of it!

  1. Fun project...and I agree, handmade baby things are the best! We received several blankets for both boys and I love each and every one of them! Have fun making it!

  2. I'm enjoying your mom's knitted gifts for Cole on a daily basis....your friend will too! Looking forward to the reveal. ;)

  3. That is a super cute pattern - maybe one day when my knitting is better I'll have to get it from you. I'm working on a couple of baby projects too, and they are definitely the most fun. I love to having that time as I'm working to think about and pray for the new life that is about to make his/her entrance :-)
